Panjshir in March 2009

These pictures are from a trip to the Panjshir Valley. The great Masood better known as the "Lion of Pahjshir" is from here and defended the Valley from the Russians and the Taliban untill he was Killed 2 days before 9-11. Below are pictures of the shrine being build for him along with some pictures of the valley. And one of me enjoying the view.
